News Update

May 13, 2022

Due to the renovation work on the G/F, UG1 and UG2 levels of the Composite Building, bookings for activity rooms and foyers will remain suspended until further notice.
 
The CCSO office will be temporarily relocated to the Global Lounge, G/F, Fong Shu Chuen Amenities Centre. Please feel free to reach our staff by email (
cocso@hku.hk), by phone or in person with advance notice. Student societies may also submit documents to CCSO via the collection box outside the HKU Campus Store (UG113).
 
During the renovation period, the Campus Store, photocopy centre and the food outlets in the Composite Building will remain in service. Bookings for equipment for activities will be available via the CCSO website (
www.ccso.hku.hk).

April 8, 2022

In line with the updated Guidelines on Infection Control Measures for HKU Events, student societies may submit booking for equipment for activities starting from April 19, 2022 (Tuesday). However, all bookings for activity rooms and foyers will remain suspended due to upcoming renovation work in the Composite Building.

The Code of Conduct for Student Organizations at The University of Hong Kong will take effect from March 28, 2022. The Code provides a framework for the operation of student organizations at the University. Should student societies have any questions, please contact CCSO by email at cocso@hku.hk

Under the framework of the Code of Conduct for Student Organizations at The University of Hong Kong, student societies must be registered with CCSO to have access to resources and facilities provided by the University. Booking of Campus Facilities

Registered student societies shall submit the Student Society Chop and Specimen Signature(s) Form to register the student society chop and a maximum of three specimen signatures from the Chairperson/President, Vice-Chairperson/Vice-President and/or General Secretary (or equivalent position) with CCSO. The verified Student Society Chop and Specimen Signatures will be considered a valid representation of the student societies at CCSO.

For facilities managed by CCSO:

  • Booking of Activity Venues in the Composite Building (Temporarily suspended due to renovation work)
    Venues available for booking: UG106, UG 205, UG 208 and Foyer in the Composite Building;
    (For additional booking requests for activity rooms and open spaces (e.g. AGM, annual event), student societies may seek special approval from CCSO with justification (in "Supplementary Information") and supporting documents.)

For booking of external venues requiring advising or certification letter from the University, student societies may send their requests to CEDARS at cedars@hku.hk.

Use of Notice Boards

Registered student societies may post posters on any free space on notice boards managed by CCSO. The list of notice boards and their locations can be accessed here. For further details, please refer to the Guidelines on the Use of Notice Boards.

Parking E-coupon

Parking E-coupons are provided for student societies to waive the parking fee of their VIPs or visitors paying visit to the University for official business. Student societies may purchase parking E-coupons from CCSO in person at the cost of HK$20 each. For further details, please refer to the Guidelines on Parking E-coupon Usage.

Bulk Email Request

Student societies may submit their bulk email requests at http://wp.cedars.hku.hk/form/socbulkemail by the daily cut-off time of 4:30pm on working days. For details, please view the Guidelines on Bulk Email Service for Student Societies.

Mail Collection Service

CCSO provides mail collection service during office hours. Student societies may receive mail via CCSO. Please refer the correct recipient address below:
